Alternative Location Determination

The company services its installed base worldwide. To minimize machine downtime, spare‑part inventory is held in numerous local warehouses across three continents. Service orders (sales orders for spare parts) are created by field engineers and are currently processed manually. The project aims to automate the processing of high‑priority service orders.
A key element of the solution is the ability to search for available stock across all relevant warehouse locations. When the local warehouse does not have sufficient supply, the system automatically creates and processes stock transfers from an alternative warehouse to the customer‑facing warehouse. This ensures rapid fulfillment of critical service orders while reducing manual intervention.
