Alternative Location Determination

The company in this project services their installed base across the globe. To minimize machine down-times, spare part stock is available in many local warehouses spread over the three continents. Service orders (sales orders for spare parts) are created by engineers and are processed manually. The project aims to automate the processing of service orders which have the highest priority. Important aspects in the solution are the search for available stock across all relevant stock locations and the automatic creation and processing of stock transfers from an alternative warehouse to the customer facing warehouse in case local supply is insufficient.
